The International Consortium for Health & Wellness Coaching (ICHWC) states, “Wellness Coaches partner with clients seeking self-directed, lasting changes, aligned with their values, which promote health and wellness and, thereby, enhance well-being”.

A Health Coach is a wellness professional trained to support, educate and empower you to find your way to better health. As your Health Coach I will help you discover health promoting food and lifestyle choices unique to your needs and work alongside you to help you implement them into your life to create positive, lasting change.

I believe that we are all the expert of our own body and that everyone has the capacity for change. I will meet you wherever you are on your journey to health. Together we will determine the focus that seems right for you.

Relaxation

Finding time to relax in this work driven society can be difficult. We can work together to help you determine the most beneficial way for you to relax be it yoga, walking in nature, massage, reading a book or singing.

Environment

In modern society we are continually bombarded by toxins. Reducing the impact of this by reducing use of plastics, or switching personal care products can help your body's burden.

Sleep

We minimise the importance of sleep in modern society, we all need approximately 8 hours per night to function at our best. We can put strategies in place to maximise the quality of your sleep so you can spend your days feeling energised.

Mindfulness

Rushing through life, either thinking about the past or planning for the future has left us missing the here and now. The use of mindful techniques can enhance our quality of life.

Mindset

The field of positive psychology in recent years has researched how positive emotions have inherent value to human growth and development and cultivation of these emotions will help people to lead fuller lives.

Stress

As the world health organisation says 'stress is health epidemic of the 21st century'. We can work to put strategies in place that work for you to minimise your stress levels to live a healthier life.

Movement

Leading a sedentary life has been labelled as the new smoking! Incorporating movement into your day is paramount. We can figure out ways to do this depending on your health and level of ability.

Relationships

Modern life seems to have led to a disconnection from our community, loneliness is rising. We can look at creating your tribe within your community and building connection and support networks that give you sustenance and joy.

Energy

Modern life can seem to zap our energy. We can find ways to maximise your energy levels through, for example, the food you eat, the quality of your sleep and more.

Functional Medicine Health Coaching takes into consideration all aspects of your wellbeing, including physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, relational, community and financial. You may want to discuss for example, food, movement or stress reduction. I will support you in a non-judgemental and respectful way, utilising your character strengths to develop the strategies and resources you need to make and sustain healthy choices. Health is not just the absence of disease, it is feeling the best you can feel!
